Major record labels have the power to shape the future of the music streaming landscape by pursuing collaborative initiatives with digital service providers. This project investigates the anticipated growth of the music streaming market over the next five years and, through an analysis of potential enhanced subscription tiers and fan engagement strategies, identifies key growth opportunities, particularly in already-saturated markets. Proposed initiatives will not only reward fans but also provide valuable tools for artists, refuel music streaming and recorded music revenue in developed markets, support labels’ own superfan marketing strategies, and help digital service providers move toward a sustainable business model.
