Voz Alternativa is a vibrant celebration of creativity, community, and culture through live music showcasing alternative Latin musicians alongside a flea market. Growing up, Rosemarie noticed the one-dimensional homogeneity of Latin musicians in the music industry, which she felt didn’t truly capture the various stories and innovative sounds found in musical subcultures. As a Salvadoran-American, she found herself connecting with her culture less through music, and more through attending local flea markets with her mom. This event takes place at UCLA where attendees are encouraged to enjoy live music and explore a variety of items available for purchase from local vendors.
