Designed to show how theory and primary research cannot exist without each other, and how various authors have integrated theoretical writings and ideas with their ethnographic or historical data. Reading of several recent ethnographies, mostly about music and possibly historical studies, in tandem with theoretical writings that inform arguments of these books.
