LECTURER --Music Education


Chloe Knudsen-Robbins began her cello studies in her hometown of Berkeley, CA, under the tutelage of Sergei Riabtchenko. She is currently a second year Master’s student at UCLA, where she is a student of Antonio Lysy.

As a winner of the fifth annual UCLA Philharmonia All-Star Competition, Chloe performed the Popper Requiem for 3 cellos and Orchestra with the UCLA Philharmonia. She has participated several times in LACMA Sunday’s Live! Concert Series and the UCLA Chancellor’s Residence Concert Series. She has performed as a member of the UCLA Camarades Chamber Ensemble in the Dilijan Chamber Music Series and as a member of the UCLA Virtuosi at the Music Guild’s Coffee, Cookies, and Concerts Spring 2010 Series.

She has attended summer music programs including the International Chamber Music Program at California Summer Arts with the Alexander String Quartet, Musique à Flaine with members of the Ysaye Quartet, and Rencontres at the International Menuhin Music Academy in Switzerland. She has served as principal cello of the UCLA Philharmonia and the Young Musician’s Foundation Debut orchestra, and worked as a mentor in the YMF Mentor Artists program. She is a multiple year recipient of the Maxwell H. Gluck Foundation Scholarship for community outreach.
