Lower Strings (Music Education)

Jessica Jones is a Double Bassist and Educator who is passionate about working with underserved communities. Jessica has spent nearly a decade working in public schools and nonprofit organizations throughout Los Angeles. A graduate of UCLA, she majored with a double concentration in Music Education and Double Bass Performance. Her previous teachers include Chris Hanulik, Principal Bassist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Thomas Derthick, University of the Pacific. An avid performer, she has experience playing Jazz, Classical, and has composed and released her own original music. Jessica hopes to share her enthusiasm for low strings with the next generation of music teachers. She is thrilled to return to her Alma Mater as a lecturer.
