The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music Summer Voice Intensive offers a concentrated week-long study experience with performance instruction designed for high school vocalists ages 14 to 18. The program caters to a wide range of repertoire interests, vocal styles, developmental goals, and performance experience.

Through daily group and individual instruction in vocal technique, repertoire development and coaching, body awareness & strengthening, vocal diction, performance style & techniques, ensemble work, and college audition prep, this program focuses on cultivating musical practices and balanced approaches for a transformational vocal experience.

Throughout the program students will participate in master classes with UCLA voice faculty and work with instructors to create unique individual recordings that showcase their singing. To cap the experience, a showcase of student performances will be held and livestreamed at UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music!

A Note from Faculty
A Note from Faculty

UCLA’s Summer Voice Intensive offers college-level voice and musical training in a friendly, welcoming environment. Teens have an opportunity to move their vocal mastery forward, develop their performance skills, and forge new friendships with equally passionate young singers.

"The masterclasses helped me improve on performing with confidence. Musicianship classes were also great by showing what to expect in college; where we need improvement on ear training and sight-reading."

- Owen Thurston, Venice High School
