Makiba Kurita and Ryan Jia are the violin and piano duo of the 2024-25 Gluck Fellows program. Both are undertaking their studies in music performance with UCLA School of music faculty: Makiba currently studies under the Professor Movses Pogossian and Varty Manouelian and Ryan is a student of Professor David Kaplan. The duo enjoys performing music of all genres including classical and contemporary music, arrangements of pop music, and soundtracks from the world of film and theatre.
