The Music Industry Committee at UCLA (MIC at UCLA) was founded by brothers David Brik and Allan Brik in the Fall of 2016. The brothers, both UCLA students, realized that there was a need for a common platform where students could learn about the music industry from an outside of classroom perspective.
As the first-ever student organization at UCLA dedicated to the business of music, MIC at UCLA has grown in just a year to a community of over 2,000 students. The club is open to any student, regardless of their major or minor.
For most of its programming, MIC partners with the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, which is the first independent music school of the University of California (UC) system.
