“A true ensemble performance distinguished by warmth, emotional precision, and not infrequent upwellings of joy.” — The Boston Globe
The Boston-based Winsor Trio comprises violin, clarinet/bass clarinet, and cello. The trio is part of Winsor Music, Inc., an organization that fosters the appreciation and enjoyment of chamber music through outreach and a popular chamber music series. This evening’s program includes student compositions and features the premieres of work by professors Kay Rhie – Cereus: Night Blooms (2019), and David Lefkowitz –Two Trios from Abstracts 2.
Made possible by the David and Irmgard Dobrow Fund. Classical music was a passion of the Dobrows, who established a generous endowment at The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music to make programs like this possible. We are proud to celebrate this program as part of the 2018-2019 Dobrow Series.
