Hello, Everyone! My name is Bria Russ, your Assistant Director of Student Affairs and Graduate Student Advisor here at the School of Music. I have a passion for higher education, student engagement, and student success, and am enthusiastic about supporting our current and incoming graduate students on their academic journey. My mission is simple: to create an inclusive and nurturing community for our graduate students. I believe that every student should have the opportunity to thrive during their graduate experience, both academically and personally, and am here to support you every step of the way.

Fun Facts About Me: Working with music students is a new and exciting journey for me, so I’m looking forward to delving deeper into the world of music through you all! I come from a background in collegiate athletics, where I achieved the honor of reaching the Final 4 in Indoor Volleyball and being a former Beach Volleyball National Champion. Most importantly, I’m an avid food enthusiast. Please don’t hesitate to share any recommendations for great food or restaurants. Feel free to stop by my office to introduce yourself, I look forward to meeting you all.
