Bryant Gozali
M.M. '17, CELLO PERFORMANCE

“I’ll always remember traveling with the VEM quartet to the Armenian genocide memorial. Playing on a speaker as you entered the memorial was a piece that we had planned to play at the concert that night. It was one of the many moments in which I realized the importance of the music I had been studying and performing, not only for the pleasure of hearing its beauty but for the way it unifies the Armenian people and speaks volumes to the rest of the world.”

Bryant Gozali is a member of the Los Angeles Cello Quartet, after having graduated from The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music in 2017. Bryant is also the founding member of The Zephyr Ensemble, a group that promotes chamber music in Singapore. With the help of Giant Robot Media in Los Angeles, he partnered up and produced a music and food event called OMAKASE, where the Zephyr Ensemble and a new cast of musicians performed different chamber music works. Currently, Bryant is a journalist in Indonesia, presenting and reporting on Indonesia’s only Chinese news program.
