Global Jazz Studies has seven ensembles dedicated to the performance and practice of jazz. Ensembles include Afro-Cuban, Contemporary Jazz, and Charles Mingus, in addition to Jazz Combos, Jazz Orchestra, Latin Jazz Big Band, and World Jazz and Intercultural Improvisation. Students are also encouraged to explore performance opportunities among the school’s other 30+ ensembles covering a range of genres and styles.
