Stephen Doniger is a partner at a boutique law firm that handles both transactional and litigation matters. He represents musicians, producers, writers, and a variety of other artists and talent practice focuses in copyright, trademark, contract, and other business matters and has successfully argued before a variety of state and federal courts, making new law on multiple occasions. He has been designated a California Super Lawyer for the years 2021-2026, and in 2023 received the California Lawyers Association IP Law Section Vanguard Award which “honors outstanding legal professionals… for their contributions to the advancement of intellectual property law.” He currently sits on the Executive Committee of the CLA IP Law Section, serves as advisory counsel for American Photographic Artists and works with a coalition of trade groups to advance artist rights through legislative and other avenues. He regularly speaks to academic and professional groups on intellectual property and business law topics and has been retained as an expert witness on handling of copyright litigation.
