The UCLA Brass area kicks off the new school year with an exceptional performance by the professional horn quartet, Quadre. Quadre will perform a recital of various works, including a horn quintet performance with UCLA Department of Music Lecturer for Horn Performance, Amy Sanchez. A newly formed UCLA Gluck Fellows Horn Quartet will perform as well, and students from the UCLA Brass area will join Quadre to perform the entire brass ensemble repertoire.
Quadre has been performing and touring for 25 years and is a model chamber ensemble for successful touring, recording, commissioning, branding, and, most importantly, purpose-driven chamber music. Please visit www.quadre.org to learn more about the ensemble.
This event is made possible by the David and Irmgard Dobrow Fund. Classical music was a passion of the Dobrows, who established a generous endowment at The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music to make programs like this possible. We are proud to celebrate this program as part of the 2022 - 23 Dobrow Series.
