Helen Rees Named a Finalist Award for Excellence in Mentoring

Professor Helen Rees from the Department of Ethnomusicology was just selected as one of the eight finalists for the UCLA Division of Graduate Education (DGE) Faculty Award for Excellence in Graduate Student Mentoring.

This year, 66 faculty members across UCLA campus were nominated for the second annual Faculty Award for Excellence in Graduate Student Mentoring. This award highlights faculty members whose mentorship go beyond formal advertising, making a lasting impression on their graduate students. Out of the eight finalists, Professor Rees is the only recipient that represents an Arts and Humanities major.
