Anna Corcoran
M.M. '16, VIOLIN PERFORMANCE

“As a musician I care very deeply about giving an audience something refined but also moving. I love playing in chamber ensembles and having a leadership role, and serving as lead violin in the VEM String Quartet taught me so much. Teaching is now my way to pass on the passion and skill that I learned from teachers like the incredible Movses Pogossian, and it means keeping violin and classical music alive and well.”

Anna currently teaches classical Violin, and Irish and Scottish fiddle, but has also performed with ensembles such as the Magik* Magik* Orchestra, the Trinity Alps Chamber Players, the Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra and the Santa Barbara String Quartet. Anna proudly returned to her School of Music home for the 2016-17 academic year to serve as Staff Principal Musician for the Armenian Music program.
