Chief Experience Officer at Kobalt Music
Jeannette Perez is the Chief Experience Officer at Kobalt Music, a role that was specifically created for Perez in the fall of 2019. In this role, Perez oversees a significant portion of the client facing publishing business including writer & publisher relations, synch & brand partnerships (Kobalt & AWAL), Film & TV publishing, Kobalt marketing and Kobalt’s International offices totaling over 100 employees. Perez works closely with her teams to ensure Kobalt’s writers and artists understand how to tap into the various services Kobalt has to offer while also ensuring that service level remains consistently high. Since joining Kobalt in 2014, Perez has grown the Kobalt synch business by triple digits with a department that has grown to over 50 international creative synch and licensing experts across Kobalt’s 14 offices. Together they have secured opportunities across their roster with brands including Apple, T-Mobile, P&G, Comcast XFinity, Macy’s, Nike and Doritos, among many other brands as well as thousands of placements in Film & Television.
Perez is a widely respected and recognized leader in the industry, honored for her work and sought after for her expertise, including serving in the renowned music juries for Cannes Lions (’18) and Clio Music (’19). Additional awards include: Billboard Women In Music (’19), Billboard Branding Power Player (’19; ’18), Billboard International Power Player (’19), Billboard Indie Power Player (’17) and Billboard 40 under 40 (’15). Prior to joining Kobalt, Perez worked at Sony Music Entertainment for twelve years where she most recently served as their vice president of music for brands & advertising. Perez holds a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.
