Nicole Sauder
M.M. '15, VIOLIN PERFORMANCE

“Working with the VEM String Quartet to perform and promote Armenian composers like Mirzoyan, Komitas, and Mansurian was an inspirational way to share such beautiful music. What an eye-opening experience it was to learn about a culture and approach to music that I did not have exposure to before. Philanthropy made it possible for me to be a part of this program – through donor generosity, I had a chance to pursue my passions and that incredible gift will impact me for the rest of my life. ”

Ms. Sauder has taught at Interlochen Center for the Arts as well as numerous schools in the Los Angeles area. She recently moved to San Diego from Los Angeles, where she was a freelance musician and performed with groups such as WildUp and Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra. She has been a long-term substitute with the San Diego Symphony since January 2017.
