READ: UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music studio faculty Boris Allakhverdyan, Denis Bouriakov, Chris Hanulik and Joshua Ranz appeared as part of an L.A. Phil Green Umbrella program at Walt Disney Concert Hall, curated by Herbie Hancock, a UCLA professor since 2013 and the L.A. Phil's creative chair for jazz. The program also featured alumnus and lecturer Hitomi Oba’s chamber work “Aina.”
