Join the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music for an evening of Original Narrative, Poetry, and Music in English by Naveed Perkins.

This world premiere performance is co-sponsored by the Armenian Music Program and the Gramian-Emrani Center for Iranian Music.

About the Program:

Heaven’s Garden exists through the persistence of memory, my memory, and both my lived and yet lived experiences. Started on November 21st 2023, Heaven’s Garden was born from an unrelenting knowing, a sense of impossible empathy, and something deeply engrained within myself as part of my artistic expression. This work presents as one long moment of honesty, a flower pot continually watered day after day, which has remained unobstructed by life and its impermanence, yet entirely moved and transformed by those very things

This event is made possible by the Gramian-Emrani Center for Iranian Music.

PARKING

Self-service parking is available at UCLA’s Parking Structure #2 for events in Schoenberg Music Building and the Evelyn and Mo Ostin Music Center. Visitor parking is marked by a green circle and the letter “P” and is on the lower levels (do not go up the ramp to levels 3-7). Costs range from $5 for 1 hour to $17 for all day. Evening rates (after 4 p.m.) are $3-$6 for 1 to 2 hours and $12 for all night. Please verify all rates with campus parking, as they are subject to change. Learn more about campus parking.
