Judith A. Peraino and Tom McEnaney, authors of We’re Having Much More Fun: Punk Archives for the Present from CBGB to Gilman an Beyond (2026), join with Tommy Gear and Paul Roessler from legendary LA punk band the Screamers to delve into punk archives of zines, photos, flyers and documents and discuss how punk’s grassroots creative communities and uncompromising artistic visions challenged the dominance of major labels and corporate standards, and created an alternative ecosystem to the mainstream music industry that has lasted over fifty years.
