Alex Barsom
Troubadour

BA Music Composition

Alex Barsom is a composer with fifteen years of experience studying music. His continued participation in composition workshops, festivals, and competitions has allowed him to hone his craft, gain valuable experience working with professional musicians and ensembles, and see his music come to fruition in concert and in professional recordings. In addition to his experience in composition, Alex has an extensive background in performance, stemming back to his initial interest in classical piano at the age of 6. He has picked up many other instruments since then and has explored an expansive array of musical genres along the way. This diverse background has led to the development of his own unique, idiosyncratic compositional voice.
