Noel Cano Hearn
Lecturer - Alexander Technique and Music Education

Noel Cano Hearn is an AmSAT-certified Alexander Technique instructor and a Music Education professor at UCLA. She has also taught at the California Institute for the Arts, Loyola Marymount University, University of Southern California, the National Children’s Chorus, Bloom School of Music and Dance, as well as working with private clients like tech giant Espree Devora and opera superstar Lisette Oropesa. Noel studied voice and choral conducting at Louisiana State University with Loraine Sims, Sara Lyn Baird, and Kenneth Fulton. Her Alexander Technique training was done at the Alexander Training Institute of Los Angeles. Noel’s aims in teaching are to create a holistic approach to music education, fostering a safe, curious, exciting environment in which to learn and grow. This includes not only musical exploration but a biomechanical understanding of the body and how we use it.
