Emily Spitz

Director of Enrollment Management

Emily Spitz has been a member of the School of Music staff for five years. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from New York University, and a Master of Philosophy in Music Studies (with a specialization in historical musicology) from University of Cambridge.

Having gone through the college admissions process for music herself, Emily is acutely aware of the complexities of the process and makes it her goal to empower applicants to have a voice in the admissions process. Given her background in music education, she is particularly dedicated to broadening access to arts education by removing barriers and providing tailored resources for applicants of all backgrounds.

Student Ambassadors

Questions about life as a School of Music student?

To connect with an ambassador, you can contact them via the email address linked in their individual profile.

The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music Troubadours are the School of Music’s student ambassador team. All of them are current students whose primary major is within the School of Music, and they are a great point of contact for prospective and recently admitted students to learn more about the School of Music undergraduate experience. Feel free to explore their bios and reach out to them directly with any questions you may have about student life.
