Enrollment Processing

Enrollment in all internship courses is processed by the Music Industry IDP. Students cannot enroll in internship courses using the MyUCLA Class Planner or by using a PTE #.

Even if you are approved to enroll in an internship course, your enrollment CANNOT be processed if you have HOLDS on your account and/or you do not have enough open units in your Study List. You should be prepared to drop a course or request excess units with your advising unit, if necessary, to be enrolled in Music Industry 95, 195, or 195CE.

If you are a student in the Samueli School of Engineering, your advising office must review your enrollment request before it can be processed by the Music industry IDP. Please ensure this step is completed when you request enrollment in MSC IND 95, 195, or 195CE.

If your enrollment in an internship course cannot be processed before the Add Class Deadline, a fee will be incurred to add the course and a petition request may be necessary.

MSC IND 195CE Timeline:

After you complete an intake appointment for Music Industry 195CE and your enrollment is approved, your enrollment will be processed by the Music Industry IDP by the last day of the enrollment period (see dates listed above). If you need to be enrolled earlier (e.g. for CPT Authorization), please alert your 195CE Graduate Student Instructor (GSI).

MSC IND 95 and 195 Timeline:

After you submit your Enrollment Request Form, there are no further steps you need to take to request enrollment. If additional materials are needed from you, they will be requested via email.

Enrollment requests submitted by the deadline will be reviewed before the last day to add classes for the respective term. If your enrollment request for 95 or 195 is approved, your enrollment will be processed by the Music Industry IDP.  Please refer to your Study List to check your enrollment status.

Once enrolled in an internship course, please refer to the section below.

Music Industry 195CE
