Open Rehearsal: Works by Wadada Leo Smith

contemporary
Recording Studio, Ostin Music Center

This rehearsal of portions of Wadada Leo Smith's The Four Symphonies and new compositions is open to the public. Smith is an internationally acclaimed composer and trumpeter, whose work has been described as a "cosmology" and a "spiritual meditation about creation in the grand intergalactic sense." Transcending the bounds of genre or idiom, he distinctly defines his music as "Creative Music." He is the originator of the musical language Ankrhasmation.
