Join the UCLA Saxophone Studio as we feature a guest artist masterclass on "How to Run an Ensemble" with saxophonist and composer, Erin Rogers.
Erin Rogers is a saxophonist and composer based in New York City. She is co-artistic director of thingNY, Popebama, New Thread Saxophone Quartet, and Hypercube. Her music has been performed worldwide at the Prototype, Ecstatic, and MATA Festivals (NYC), Celebrity Series (Boston), Edmonton Fringe Festival, the Elbphilharmonie’s “Unterdeck” (Hamburg), Centro Nacional de las Artes (Mexico City), and NYmusikk Bergen (Norway). She can be heard on New Focus Recordings, New World Records, Edition Wandelweiser, Gold Bolus labels, and Relative Pitch labels.
This event is made possible by the David and Irmgard Dobrow Fund. Classical music was a passion of the Dobrows, who established a generous endowment at The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music to make programs like this possible. We are proud to celebrate this program as part of the 2020 - 21 Dobrow Series.
