Consider your writing practice. What role does music play in it? Join this online event to learn about the mixtapes that carried Jessica Schwartz, Marina Peterson, and Jessica Bissett Perea through writing their recently published books Radiation Sounds: Marshallese Music and Nuclear Silences; Atmospheric Noise: The Indefinite Urbanism of Los Angeles; Sound Relations: Native Ways of Doing Music History in Alaska—and reflect on the music that has done the same for you. This event is co-hosted by Prof. J. Martin Daughtry (NYU) and Prof. @ninaeidsheim (UCLA PEER Lab).
