Grab your fiddle and pull out your trombone for this fun instrumental workshop for all playing levels. Join Dan Blacksberg and Deborah Strauss, two of the klezmer world’s top instrumentalists, as we break down tunes to their fundamental elements. With these uniquely talented faculty, you will build your understanding of klezmer standards and learn how elements of movement are connected to the way we play. Whether you are a professional musician, or have a clarinet that hasn’t been touched in 30 years, this is a great opportunity to get to know klezmer!

This event is made possible by the Lowell Milken Center for Music of American Jewish Experience at The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music with additional generous support from the David Vickter Foundation.
