Marimba Masterclass with Nancy Zeltsman

Nancy Zeltsman
masterclasses
Zoom

The UCLA Percussion Studio is thrilled to present Nancy Zeltsman, one of the most preeminent marimbists of our time. Known for her “velvety, rich-toned allure,” Ms. Zeltsmanʼs commissions, performances, recordings, and decades of teaching have profoundly influenced modern marimba playing. Author of Four-Mallet Marimba Playing: A Musical Approach at All Levels, Ms. Zeltsman will discuss aspects of marimba performance with students of the UCLA Percussion Studio.

This event is made possible by the David and Irmgard Dobrow Fund. Classical music was a passion of the Dobrows, who established a generous endowment at The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music to make programs like this possible. We are proud to celebrate this program as part of the 2020 - 21 Dobrow Series.

Register in advance for this event. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the event.
