Tech and . . . Music | General Assembly DTLA

General Assembly
lectures-symposia
General Assembly Little Tokyo

TECH AND...is an event series where General Assembly hosts thought-leaders from a specific industry and explore new intersections between their field and technology. Together, they discuss how they’ve been impacted by the rise of tech, ways they’ve adapted and innovated along the way, and what they expect to see in the future.

In September, General Assembly is exploring the music industry. Gigi Johnson, Executive Director of the Center for Music Innovation and Music Industry faculty member, is one of the speakers. Join GA for a conversation on the changing landscape of music events including the past, present and future state, audience activation, sponsorships, social media and beyond.

Women's Voices, Women's Souls
A celebration of Jewish women’s voices, the centerpiece of this concert are excerpts from Women of Valor, an award-winning cantata by composer Andrea Clearfield, performed by members of the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony under the direction of Dr. Noreen Green and featuring Grammy award-winning soprano Hila Plitmann and mezzo-soprano Iris Malkin. Inspired by a midrash, Women of Valor highlights the stories of women of the Bible through the contemporary lens of several women writers.
