Jackie Winkler
Director of A&R at Island Records
“A majority of my signings have been off of immediate gut instinct, whether it was an undeniable voice or a one-of-a-kind human that tells stories in ways you’ve never heard them told before. Greatness is what inspires me, and my main passion is to search for it in everything I do.”

Jackie Winkler began her 9-year career working as an intern at Warner Brothers Records while finishing undergrad at the University of Arizona. Officially hired in 2011, she signed her first act, Andra Day, as an assistant and then worked her way up to A&R manager signing artists Nico and Vinz, NONONO, JR JR, and Sabina Ddumba. In 2014, Winkler joined Island Records and signed Bishop Briggs, PUBLIC, Johan Lenox, and Lxandra, while overseeing Olivia O’Brien, BANNERS, and discovering Jessie Reyez.
