Commencement 2023

North Dickson Court

On Friday, June 16, The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music honored our newest graduates in an engaging commencement celebration featuring inspiring undergraduate and graduate student speakers and a keynote address by alumna and MacArthur Fellow Martha Gonzalez.

The event, which took place at 4:00 p.m. in Dickson Court North, also included special performances by the school of music’s Commencement Brass Ensemble, the West African Drum Ensemble, an All-School Commencement Ensemble, and Mariachi de Uclatlán.

We are so proud of our graduates and their astounding success in the face of many challenges. We wish them well as they take their leadership, creativity, and dedication to music out into the world.
