This concert will feature performances by the students enrolled in the Iranian Music Minor program in collaboration with their instructors and acclaimed professional musicians. Ensemble Iran, directed by Dr. Shahab Paranj, will perform pieces by Iranian composers from different eras, including Darvish Khān, Ali Akbar Sheida, Hossein Alizadeh, Parviz Meshkatian, Shahab Paranj, and Bijan Kamkar.

The 65th Annual Spring Festival of World Music

This program is part of a longstanding tradition at UCLA established by world-renowned ethnomusicologist Mantle Hood. The 2025 festival concert dates run from May 4 to June 7. The festival is free and open to the public. All concerts are in Schoenberg Hall and Lani Hall.
