Assistant Professor of Piano David Kaplan performs a program of keyboard fantasies, including new works by Anthony Cheung and Christopher Cerrone. Each new piece is paired with fantasy from the past: an unmeasured prelude by Louis Couperin, and the Mozart C minor fantasy, K. 475. The program culminates with Beethoven’s Sonata, Op. 110, in which sonata and fantasy forms meet.
