President and COO of Kobalt Music

As President & COO of Kobalt, Jeannette Perez oversees all aspects of Kobalt, from writer & publisher relations to synch & brand partnerships, Kobalt marketing, A&R, and Kobalt’s International offices. Perez works closely with her teams to ensure writers and artists understand how to tap into Kobalt’s various services while consistently maintaining a high service level. Since joining Kobalt in 2014, Perez has transformed Kobalt’s client operations through an enhanced writer and publisher relations service, drives Kobalt’s global synch business, and works closely with Kobalt’s regional offices to further international growth.

Perez is a widely respected and recognized leader in the industry. She is honored for her work and sought after for her expertise, including serving in the renowned music juries for Cannes Lions (’18) and Clio Music (’19). Additional awards include Variety Women’s Impact Report (‘22), Billboard Power Player (‘21) Billboard Women In Music (’19), Billboard Branding Power Player (’19; ’18), Billboard International Power Player (’19), Billboard Indie Power Player (’17), and Billboard 40 under 40 (’15). Before joining Kobalt, Perez worked at Sony Music Entertainment for twelve years, where she most recently served as their vice president of music for brands & advertising. Perez holds a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.
