Music Clearance Specialist at Netflix

Vince Villanueva has over 25 years of experience in the Music Industry. He joined the Netflix Music Department in 2018 and currently serves as their Music Clearance Specialist for Animation, Unscripted and various Kids & Family shows.  He was part of the Music Team that revived American Idol on ABC and prior to that, served as the Director of Music Clearance at DreamWorks Animation from 2015 to 2017. In previous roles, he has served as Director of Music Clearance and Licensing at Bunim/Murray Productions and various management positions at DreamWorks SKG.  Mr. Villanueva is the CEO and one of the co-founders of The Sitting Tree – a 501(c)3 that aims to help families (as a whole) going through hardships.  He is a voting member of the Television Academy and is an avid supporter of the Arts and live entertainment.  He holds a B.A. in Music (Education) from UCLA and resides in North Hollywood.
