Richard Danielpour’s New Opera The Grand Hotel Tartarus

Six guests appear at an ornate hotel with no idea how they got there. The gracious and aristocratic hotel manager, Mr. Lucian, promises to fulfill all their earthly desires if they remain. In this new opera by Richard Danielpour, the guests will have one night only to ponder a choice that will affect them for eternity.

Join Opera UCLA in the School of Theater, Film, and Television's Freud Playhouse for the final performance of Professor Richard Danielpour's opera, The Grand Hotel Tartarus.

The Grand Hotel Tartarus contains adult themes and language, and is intended for mature audiences only.

There will be two previews and two full performances of The Grand Hotel Tartarus:

Free and open to the public. Seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis. Early arrival is recommended. Attendees who RSVP receive priority up until 15 minutes before the event.

PARKING

Self-service parking is available at UCLA’s Parking Structure #3 for events in the Freud Theater. After 4 p.m., the rate is $10 for all-night parking. Learn more about campus parking.
