In this presentation, Aram Kerovpyan seeks to advance investigation of the rich corpus of Armenian hymnody by proposing a new approach to elucidating the interrelation between the oral and written media by which it was transmitted in parallel from its inception in Late Antiquity until the 17th century.
The Reed Quintet features an unusual combination of oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, and bassoon, offering audiences a unique opportunity to hear a blend of timbres across many genres, ranging from work by J. S. Bach to George Gershwin.
